HARARE — The Premier Soccer League has clarified how it will implement disciplinary sanctions handed to Hardrock FC following their abandoned fixture against Dynamos FC.
In a press release dated 1 July 2026, the PSL confirmed that Hardrock FC was ordered to play one home match behind closed doors after the disciplinary judgement involving the Dynamos clash.
However, fans will not miss out on the club’s next match. The league said Hardrock FC’s Matchday 21 home fixture against Caps United FC will proceed as scheduled on Sunday, 5 July 2026, with spectators in attendance.
The “closed doors” sanction will instead be served during Hardrock’s next home fixture after that — the Matchday 23 encounter against Triangle United FC, which is yet to be scheduled.
The PSL explained the decision was made because online and advance ticket sales for the Caps United match had already commenced when the judgement was delivered. “This decision has been made to avoid inconveniencing our valued stakeholders who have already purchased tickets,” the league stated.
The PSL also noted that details on the completion of the abandoned Hardrock FC vs Dynamos FC match will be released in due course, in line with league rules and regulations.
Hardrock FC’s fans can therefore attend the Caps United game, but will have to wait to support their team live again at the Triangle United fixture, which will be played without spectators.
