Prominent farmer, entrepreneur and philanthropist Simbarashe Mukwashi gifted upcoming Afro-fusion artiste Professor Muzvinafundo a car during the artiste’s show at Club VIP, Makomba Shopping Centre, Glen View, on Saturday night.
Mukwashi took to the stage during Professor Muzvinafundo’s performance and announced to the crowd that he would bless the talented musician with a car of his choice. He urged Professor Muzvinafundo to contact him directly to select the vehicle.
“I would like to extend my appreciation to Professor Muzvinafundo by blessing him with a car. He should reach out to me and choose a car of his choice,” Mukwashi told the cheering crowd.
Mukwashi gained national recognition after winning “Overall Best Small Livestock Farmer” and “Best Small Livestock Farmer” at the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show [ZAS].
Originally from Mbire Village in Buhera, Manicaland Province, he successfully transitioned from chrome mining into a thriving agricultural enterprise. In addition to farming, he serves as Managing Director of DMR Earthmovers, a company that supplies earthmoving equipment and offers vocational training.
Professor Muzvinafundo was visibly elated by the offer. Speaking to this writer after the show, he expressed gratitude for Mukwashi’s generosity.
“I am so humbled by Mr Mukwashi’s good heart. The car will help me a lot when travelling for my shows,” he said.
The artiste also praised Mukwashi’s philanthropic spirit and challenged other successful businesspeople to follow his example.
“May other businesspeople in our communities follow this good deed done by Mr Mukwashi and give back,” he added.
Professor Muzvinafundo said he will visit Mukwashi during the working week to choose his car.
