ZRP Seeks Public Help to Locate Three Most Wanted Drug Lords

By Desire Tshuma

HARARE — The Zimbabwe Republic Police has appealed to the public for information that could lead to the arrest of three men described as highly wanted drug lords operating in Harare’s western and eastern suburbs.

In a press statement dated 10 May 2026, ZRP named the suspects as Nomore ‘Nomara’ Chabata, 47, Joymore Chihwai, 41, and Leon Mambohaatumwi, 35.

According to the statement, the trio allegedly ran syndicated drug bases in Mufakose, Marimba and Mabvuku. Police said initial investigations revealed the suspects operated from houses fortified with high durawalls, electric fences and CCTV cameras to evade detection and raids.

“The premises had vicious dogs such as pit-bulls and others to scare away law enforcement efforts,” the statement read.

ZRP also said the recovery of explosives during operations linked the suspects to other crimes, including armed robberies involving the blowing up of safes.

The police said more detailed information would be released in due course.

Commissioner Paul Nyathi, Chief Staff Officer for Press and Public Relations, urged anyone with information on the suspects’ whereabouts to come forward.
