
Prince Edward rugby coach Shaun DeSouza described their 54- 7 win over Livingstone Kolebag College(LKC) of Botswana Thursday as preparation of their derby match against Churchill on Saturday Day 7 at Dairibord Schools Rugby Festival 2017.
Prince Edward match against LKC match was competitive as the Tigers lead by 12-0 before ten minutes of play.Marcus Siyawamwaya of Prince Edward had an scintillating try in the early minutes after he intercepted an LKC pass before running in zig zag avoiding LKC defense.Tinashe Hombiro left the supporters in frenzy after he made a good dummy in the middle of the park in the 1st half.
Tigers kept piling pressure on KLC and went to half time winning 19-0.
LKC which during the festival had earlier showed their strength in rucking found the going tough against the Tigers.However a lot of perseverance in mauling managed them to score a consolation try.
Tigers coach in an interview said, “the game was fine, the team finally played with structures but we still have a lot of work to do in defense.
