Golfers around Harare converged at Chapman Golf Club for a worthy cause as they featured in the Vana Trust Golf Day last week Thursday.
Vana Trust held its inaugural golf day to raise funds to complete a science laboratory building and buy the laboratory equipment and furniture at St David’s in Chihota district.

“The golf day will be held annually to source funds for the orphans in line with Vana Trust intiatives”, said Mrs Nyasha Gwatidzo. She first pursued a degree in maths and physics and felt it a noble deed to have a science laboratory in a rural area where science studies were being hampered by lack of experiments in a science laboratory.Few schools in the remote area has a science laboratory with a great distance between the have and the have-not.
Mrs Gwatidzo an author and philanthropist is a founding member with her later mother ,Mrs Lucy Gwatidzo as the co-founder who passed away last year.
