All systems are set up for the 2019 Castle Tankard where winners do not quit and quitters do not win in a battle of 16 horses on 11th May at Borrowdale park race course in Harare.

In a speech read on behalf of the Mashonaland Turf Club (MTC) chairman Gary Garter and his other immediate subordinate, at the launch of this racing event he said past memories cannot be evaded.
“When I started racing here 7 years ago people spoke about past winners with reverence and I was constantly reminded about patience, dedication and belief that it just took for an owner to get a horse to the starting gate of the race”, read the speech.
He tipped Roma descent to repeat the feat of last year. The card call will be held on Thursday and on the race day.
