Zimbabwe will be without the services of veteran defender Teenage Hadebe for the highly anticipated Mukuru 4 Nations final against Zambia following a breach of the national team’s code of conduct.
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) confirmed the one-match suspension on Monday, noting that while the FC Cincinnati center-back has since apologised and accepted the disciplinary action, he remains ineligible for the tournament decider in Francistown.
The disciplinary action reportedly stems from a viral video that emerged from the team’s camp in Botswana
The loss of the defensive stalwart presents a significant challenge for interim coach Jairos Tapera as the Warriors look to secure regional silverware against their historic rivals.
The tournament final is scheduled for Tuesday, 31 March 2026, at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown, Botswana.
