The State of Palestine strongly condemns the recent revelations of Israeli soldiers’ gang-rape of Palestinian prisoners at the Sde Teiman torture site.
The Palestinian government is outraged by the Israeli government’s response, which has shielded the perpetrators and condemned the leak of the incident. The government views this as an indication of the fascist and racist ideology within the Israeli government.
The State of Palestine calls upon the international community to take immediate action to expose and confront Israel’s actions, including activating accountability and justice mechanisms and imposing sanctions on Knesset members who support such actions.
The government also highlights the dire situation of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, with over 10,000 Palestinians, including women and children, facing torture, starvation, and medical neglect.
The recent UN commission findings on widespread and systematic abuse of Palestinian detainees in Israeli military camps and detention facilities are seen as a damning indictment of Israel’s occupation policies.
In light of these developments, the State of Palestine demands that the international community recognizes the gravity of the situation and takes concrete steps to hold Israel accountable for its actions and respect the Palestinian people’s right to freedom, dignity, and justice.
Ambassador Tamer Almassri strongly condemns the Draft Bill and calls upon the international community and legal institutions to take immediate action to expose and confront this dangerous course pursued by the occupying state.
“We demand that the international community activate accountability and justice mechanisms, and place Knesset members supporting this approach on terrorism lists, sanctions, as well as the boycott of this racist institution”, he said in a press release.
“It is imperative that the international community recognizes the gravity of the situation and takes concrete steps to hold Israel accountable for its actions.”
“The culture of impunity and fascism that has taken hold in Israel must be confronted and challenged, and the Palestinian people’s right to freedom, dignity, and justice must be respected and protected”, he added.
“The state of Palestine will continue to advocate for an end to Israel’s occupation, genocide and for the establishment of a sovereign and independent Palestinian state, where our citizens can live with dignity and respect”, Almassri said.
