Tawanda Maswanhise, the Zimbabwean international forward, has set his sights on scoring more goals this season after a promising start with Motherwell.
The 22-year-old striker scored a brace in the Fir Park side’s 2-2 draw with Clyde in the League Cup group match, including a header and a close-range finish.
Last season, Maswanhise scored six goals and provided four assists in his first season in senior football, impressing fans and coaches alike with his skills on the pitch. This campaign, under a new manager, the Zimbabwe-born striker is targeting an even higher tally.
“I’m happy to kick-start the campaign with two goals,” Maswanhise said. “I really want to get more goals this season. There’s always room for improvement, so I’ve set myself higher goals.”
With his impressive form and determination to succeed, Maswanhise is set to be a key player for Motherwell this season. Zimbabwean football fans will be eagerly following his progress, hoping he’ll continue to make the country proud.
