Harare – Dr Kudakwashe Tagwirei, a prominent Zimbabwean businessman, who was co-opted into the Zanu PF Central Committee by Harare Provincial Coordinating Committee awaiting approval from the Politburo has been supported by  clergyman  Destiny Of Africa Network leader Pastor Obadiah  Musindo.

This move is seen as a significant step in his political career, potentially paving the way for future leadership roles.

The Zanu PF Harare Province executive proposed Tagwirei’s co-option, citing his strategic business acumen and contributions to the party. The Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) unanimously agreed to recommend him for co-option.

“As a member of the Central Committee, Tagwirei will play a key role in shaping the party’s policies and decisions” Pastor Musindo said.

“Dr Tagwirei has been supporting ZANU PF in a bigger way , way before many people came to know him . He has been supporting ZANU PF during the First Republic and he is doing this during this second republic in support for President Emerson Mnangagwa. As a businessman he had decided to stay in business and establish his business enterprises but now that Zanu pf Harare Provincial Coordinating Committee has seen it fit for him to be co opted into central committee ” added Pastor Musindo , Destiny Of Afrika Network leader.

” Dr Tagwirei played a crucial role in fighting against fuel shortages, he supported command agriculture, he sponsored millions of dollars in donation for Zanu pf elections campaign. However there are some detractors who hate President Mnangagwa, Saviour Kasukuwere, Tendai Biti to mention a few are fighting President, they want to bring him down so that people hate him but patriotic men like Tagwirei are standing and giving him strength”

Biti and his friends applied for sanctions against Zimbabwe in fight against our President but Tagwirei is one of the men who have crushed the sanctions .Zanu pf needs generous people like Tagwirei so that the nation moves forward ” concluded Pastor Musindo.

Tagwirei’s co-option has sparked speculation about his potential presidential aspirations which he rubbished recently as false perceptions, with some sources suggesting he may be groomed to succeed President Emmerson

Tagwirei’s co-option may alter the balance of power within Zanu PF, potentially affecting the party’s succession plans and leadership dynamics. As a member of the Central Committee, Tagwirei will have greater influence over the party’s decision-making processes.
