The recently held 2024 Annual National Sports Awards proved to be a resounding success for Triathlon Zimbabwe, with the association and its athletes claiming an impressive haul of five awards.
Triathlon Zimbabwe Association was a finalist at the prestigious ceremony with Carol Pakenham the secretary general ex officio scooped gold after being voted Administrator of the Year.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony of the awards,, Sport and Recreation Commission (SRC) board member Coleen de Jong lauded the return of the awards.
“After a four-year hiatus, the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) is proud to announce the return of Zimbabwe’s premier recognition platform for sporting excellence,” said de Jong.

Junior Sportswoman of the Year: Silver Medal – Rachel O’Donoghue
Junior Sportsman of the Year: Silver Medal – Callum Smith,
Bronze Medal – Rohnan Nicholson
Sportswoman of the Year: Bronze Medal – Andie Kuipers
Coach of the Year: Silver Medal – Pamela Fulton
Administrator of the Year: Gold Medal – Carol Pakenham
