Burning Spear and the Burning Band will perform  live in Zimbabwe on Friday and prior to that after their arrival on Wednesday, they toured the Museum of African Liberation in Zimbabwe Thursday with Micah Robinson commending the museum.

Micah Robinson a trombonist who has played extensively with Burning Spear in an interview with our publication said touring the Museum of African Liberstion in the Zimbabwe was overwhelming.

” It was overwhelming to tour the Museum of African Liberation. It was really good. There is so much of this continent we don’t hear about in America”, he said.

Burning Spear will perform in Harare before having two shows in South Africa and one in Zambia and finish his Africa tour with a show in Kenya. The tour is dubbed Burning Spear One People Africa 2024.

Robinson also commended Zimbabwe as a beautiful place with beautiful people. ” The people here are so different from the one in USA. Here there so many black people whilst in USA they are not the majority, so they have political issues”, he added.

Robinson who lives in Midwest USA said the entire  band reside in USA although they move to Jamaica in winter and come back during the warmer season.

He likened the visit to Africa like Moslems going to Mecca. ”Coming to Africa is a beautiful thing and it is equivalent to Moslems going to Mecca”, said Robinson.
