El Shaddai Sadomba was named in the CAF ASFC COSAFA Best XI as a centre forward together with Tadiwa Chakuchichi who is a central attacking midfielder in the team.
Sadomba scored six goals in the tournament to receive the Golden Boots award whilst Chakuchichi was the captain of the CAF ASFC under 15 Zimbabwe team.
The CAF ASFC COSAFA Best X1 comprises of five South African players, four Malawian players and two Zimbabwean players. South African won the tournament and were awarded $100,000USD, Malawi came second and pocketed $75,000 USD whilst Zimbabwe on third position walked away with $50,000USD.
Edward Sadomba who was watched his son playing said the tournament was good at developing the youngsters. El Shaddai had his sibling Adonai also from St John College in the Zimbabwe team as a substitute. It runs in the family on the matter of football.
Captain Tadiwa Chakuchichi’s parents Isaiah and Primrose Chakuchichi also watched the matches and were happy on how their son played.
Tadiwa Chakuchichi also at St John College was voted man of the match twice.
