NERA Revolutionizes Zimbabwe’s Electoral Landscape, Unites Parties and Citizens for Change

Harare, Zimbabwe – In an unprecedented move towards a brighter democratic future, the National Elections Reform Agenda (NERA) orchestrated a momentous gathering on December 8th, 2023, propelling their tireless campaign for electoral reforms to new heights.

With a diverse representation of political parties and civil society organizations, including MDC, PDP, ZIPP, FORUS Party, UD-PPZ, and LEAD, the meeting proved to be a resounding triumph.

Under the visionary leadership of Chairman Eng. Mugari, participants engaged in dynamic discussions, highlighting the paramount importance of electoral reforms. Key priorities, such as the autonomy of the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) and the implementation of age limits for presidential candidates, resonated unanimously among attendees, underscoring the transformative potential these reforms hold for political parties and the nation’s economic prosperity.

NERA expressed heartfelt gratitude to the generous sponsors who have propelled their meetings forward, whilst passionately urging other political parties and leaders to join forces in this collective endeavor for electoral reforms.
