Zimbabwean Organizations Denounce Ongoing Genocide Against Palestinian People

Members of the Coalition Against Economic Sanctions (CAES) in Zimbabwe express solidarity at the Palestine Embassy in Zimbabwe against the ongoing onslaught of the Palestinian people in Gaza


Various organizations in Zimbabwe have stood up to denounce the current persecution of Palestinian citizens by lsraeli forces in what has been described today by the Palestinian Ambassador to Zimbabwe as the greatest genocide against humanity globally.


The organizations gave their solidarity messages at a press conference by Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Zimbabwe Dr Tamer Almassri who condemned in the strongest terms the devastating occupation war on Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.


Some of the organizations included the Citizens Against Economic Sanctions (CAES) in Zimbabwe and the Zimbabwe Moslem Youth Organization (ZMYO).


Herbert Zharare, president and spokesperson for the CAES said that the citizens of Zimbabwe stand with the Palestinian people in their fight to defend their land against Zionist Israel.
“Today, as always during the tenure of past Palestinian Ambassadors in Zimbabwe,the people of Zimbabwe have always called on the worls,the United Nations,the EU,the Arab World and other international bodies to accord the people of Gaza,Jenin and the West Bank to accord the people of Palestine the freedom they are fighting for in their own land from the throngs of Zionist invaders,’’Zharare said.


He added that the land of Palestine belongs to the Palestinians since time immemorial.
Zharare said that the citizens of Zimbabwe will stand with the Palestinian people in their fight against Zionism and to fight for their independence.


Taahir lqbal Iba, spokesperson for the ZMYO said on behalf of his organization that the neglect of the serious human rights abuses against the Palestinian people is a scar on the world’s conscience.


Other organizations who offered solidarity to the people of Palestine included the Zimbabwe Institute of Diplomacy represented by Vova Abednigo Chikanda the Chairperson.
