Opposition Citizens Coalition for Change party spokesperson Promise Mkwananzi is being sought by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) for an alleged warrent of arrest issued for defaulting court proceedings.
According to a police press statement, Promise Dalubuhle Mkwananzi is facing incitement to commit public violence charges under Harare Central CR 2627/07/19 and Harare Public Prosecutor reference 1139/2019.
ZRP Assistant Commissioner and national public relations officer, Paul Nyathi confirmed that there is an enforcement of warrant of arrest issued by the court against Promise Mkwananzi.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms that Promise Dalubuhle Mkwananzi is being sought in connection with a warrant of arrest is issued by Harare Magistrate Court on 22nd April from r defaulting court proceedings”, said Nyathi.
Prominent activist, Promise Mkwananzi, is the new opposition CCC party spokesperson, replacing Fadzayi Mahere and this was revealed at a press conference Friday.
