Passengers Association of Zimbabwe (PAZ) has called for remedial action at Kuwadzana Extension turn-off.
In a letter seen by this publication addressed to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Development permanent secretary, PAZ national coordinator Tafadzwa Goliati suggests that either traffic signal systems or speed barriers should be installed at Kuwadzana Extension turn-off.
” The Passengers Association of Zimbabwe (PAZ) is calling on the ministry to implement any necessary remedial measures to minimize accident risk at Kuwadzana Extension turn-off which is a potential danger spot along the Harare-Bulawayo highway,” said Tafadzwa Goliati.
“In our monitoring initiatives we have identified the area as one of the potential black spots where we feel either traffic signals or speed barriers can be installed to minimize traffic accidents,” Goliati added.
PAZ said it is very happy to collaborate with the ministry in identifying such danger spots on the country’s roads.
