Palestine ambassador to Zimbabwe, His Excellency Tamer Almassri
Palestine ambassador to Zimbabwe, His Excellency Tamer Almassri has commended journalists for Palestine for doing a sterling job in painting and portraying the conflict happening between Palestine and Israel.
Palestine ambassador formed Reporters for Palestine in Zimbabwe committee in order to show gratitude to journalists at a meeting held at his embassy.
“A committee has been formed for journalists who have gathered here today. We have a group for journalists writing articles about Palestine and it is imperative that those who continuously support us be in a committee,” he said.
The network for journalists covering Palestine stories is called Reporters for Palestine.
The ambassador said the mutual understanding between his embassy and Zimbabwe journalists should be not be destroyed.
“Journalists for Palestine are welcome at our offices and even if am not there, maybe I would have travelled” he said.
Reporters for Palestine in Zimbabwe welcomed to the move and promised to continue writing articles exposing what is happening in Palestine due to Israel occupation.
Media play an important role for one to find sympathisers when in a difficult situation. As the ambassador always reiterates, Palestine situation needs all to intervene.
