7 April, on World Health Day, the Society for AIDS in Africa (SAA) celebrated the WHO’s contributions to improving the health and well-being of people around the globe.
For 75 years, the WHO has been at the forefront of the fight against diseases like HIV/AIDS, STIs, TB, Malaria, Hepatitis, polio, and emerging infections, and has worked tirelessly to promote access to healthcare, strengthen health systems, and advance public health policies.
“As we reflect on the challenges we have faced and overcome over the past year, the Society of AIDS in Africa acknowledges the critical role the WHO plays in ensuring a healthier future for all”.
“So, let’s take a moment to thank the WHO and its dedicated staff, especially WHO Afro, for their commitment to creating a healthier, more equitable world. Here’s to many more years of progress and impact! Let us also congratulate all professionals of health across the globe #WorldHealthDay #HealthForAll #ThanksWHO”, said SAA.
