Frank Gomani grew up with a passion for music as at tender age of 12, he was singing in the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP) Mufakose. “At the Presbyterian Church, I was appointed youth secretary and I formed a music group called All Four Praise with four members”, he revealed.

He worked with the late Fortune Mparutsa, Flash Gordon who is now in Italy and Sirbede of the Aho fame. “In 2001, I released Tikuchenjezeni in Chewa as am a Malawian by origin”, he said. In the vernacular it is translated tikuchenjedzei it rocked elite radio waves he added.

” This saw me working with Delani Makhalima of Galaxy Records and Elton Bryce of Bryce Nation, a recording label now based in America”, he added.

Lack of exposure was the main challenge that would guarantee my blue-print mark”, Gomani said.

He is advising fellow producers upcoming muscians and prominent artists in staying away from drugs. “For drugs kills, steals and destroys not only your life but the life of others”, he said.

Mr Royal said he has helped a lot of substance abusers who were taking Crystal Meth in the streets by engaging them in the studio doing what they know best- which is music.

“Our main concern as Royal Records is to see the maturity of an artist from being a social delinquent to one who is emulated in the community”, he told this writer.

” We have artists coming to Royal Records who have one or twice been involved in illicit activities like house breaking. They come for rehabilitation and we have found out that these artists don’t have music prowess only but are also good in carpentry, electrical, landscapping, welding, hairdressing car mechanics and care sales, he revealed.

A musician may get as a hour in the studio and then goes to be productive in crafts work. “This helps them not to be idle”, he added.

He said with regards to music, he wants to turn great inspiration into reality because music is a reflection of what is inside.

He has worked with Dobba “45” Don though the latter need to transform his life from drugs in order to be a recognised force in the music industry.

He emulates Dobba Don as an artist of great magnitude with talent beyond measure. Dobba Don is remarkable when it comes to his music creativity”, Gomani said.
