Ngezi Platinum – 19 coach Klifton Kadurira describes Saturday’s Axis Super 8 Cup quarter – final match as anyone’s game despite his developmental side playing against experienced Golden Eagles players at Boabab Stadium home.
“We will see what is going to happen, good team of the day will advance to the next stage”, said Kadurira in a telephone interview.
Clifton Kadurira said his team a developmental side is going to lock horns with a team that have experienced players.” Some of the guys at Golden Eagles played in the Premier league, the likes of Christopher Samakwere and Raymond Uchena”, he said.
However he didnot rule out his youngsters whom he said always play their best to be promoted to the first team in the top flight league.” It is a good game for the youngsters to play against experienced opponents and it is good to them as who is good would be removed from the developmental side to the first team”, he added.
He is worried about his depleted side that have suffered many injuries and some of the best player have been taken to the first team. “We have three players Takunda Benhura, Tinotenda Murasiranwa and Leslie Kastigu who are now turning up for the first team” he said.
To manage the quarter -final berth Ngezi Platinum had many draws and 3 defeats and from there they picked up. “We had been working in areas where we were short in the first games and now we have improved in those areas”, revealed Kadurira.
