The law of Karma became invisible in the football circles when FIFA bans Zimbabwe national assignments after the Mighty Warriors crushed to Zebra Queens in African Women Cup of Nations qualifiers as the ZIFA board was suspended with one of the reasons being poor results.
The Zimbabwe national football teams and the club teams suffered a huge blow after FIFA banned them from fulfilling international matches. The law of Karma recognizes that you should do to others what you want others to do to you.
ZIFA board led by Felton Kamambo was suspended with the other reason being poor show at AFCON and World Cup qualifiers and the Sports Recreation Commission (SRC) appointed committee is now being not recognized by FIFA after the Mighty Warriors failure. The Mighty Warriors lost to the Zebra Queens on away goal rule after finishing 3-3 on aggregate but Zebra Queens scored 3 goals in Zimbabwe whilst the Mighty Warriors scored 2 goals in Botswana.
The law of Karma otherwise known as the law of Retributive Justice or the law of Reciprocal was in play as FIFA bans Zimbabwe and Kenya football from international assignments. Kenya was banned for not recognizing the world football governing body when they carried their investigations about multiple counts of fraud on the president of the country’s football . By Kenya authorities doing so, FIFA is not recognizing any international football activity unless they got recognized in the matters at the country’s football association.
FIFA wrote a letter to ZIFA general secretary Joseph Mamutse stating that Zimbabwe has been banned from international football and did not mention poor results as a cause as was noted by the Gerald Mhlotswa led SRC when they suspended Kamambo last November.
“Consequently and in accordance with article 13 of FIFA Statues, ZIFA loses all its membership right as of 24 February 2022 until further notice. ZIFA representative and club teams are therefore no longer entitled to take part in international competitions until the suspension is lifted. This also means that neither ZIFA nor any of its members or officials may benefit from any development programmes, courses or training form FIFA and/or CAF”, read the letter.
“Finally, not withstanding this suspension imposed on ZIFA and in line with FIFA zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, sexual abuse and any other unethical conduct, FIFA reiterates its commitment to cooperating with any ongoing investigations regarding alleged sexual harassment and bribery by ZIFA officials. FIFA will therefore remain at disposal of the national authorities and plaintiffs with respect to the above during the suspension period” summed up the letter by FIFA general secretary Fatma Samoura.
FIFA is the French name of the world football governing body.
