21- year- old Zimbabwean goalkeeper Delrom Makina recently signed a 3- year contract with a top Croatia premier soccer league team HNK Hajduk Split FC.
According to his manager Gilbert Zulu, Makina travelled to Croatia on 2 January as the third choice goalkeeper for HNK Hajduk Split.
“Delrom Makina was signed for £7.1 million “, revealed his manager.
The goalkeeper was born in Harare and attended Kudzanayi Primary School and Kwayedza Secondary School in Highfield.He was later scouted by Marlborough High School where he was given a schorlaship.
The goalkeeper played for Supa Striker Soccer Academy at the tender age of 11 years. He also played for Excel Academy based in Mount Pleasant and applied his trade at Supa Strikers and FC Mbare in Zifa Division 2.
Before his move to Croatia, he was turning up for Highfield Academy in Division 2.
“Makina is a humble guy who is eager to learn and achieve”, said Zulu.
He is yet to make his debut appearance at Hadjuk Spit.
