
Love one another is the greatest commandment amongst Christians and AFC showered love to the Seke community by donating 2 boreholes worth $750 000ZWL Friday.

Ruth Makandiwa through UFIC’s charity organisation Agape Family Care(AFC) donated 2 boreholes to mitigate water crisis in Unit J ,ward 16 Zengeza East constituency.
The handover ceremony was held at one of the boreholes named LifeWell 1 with Health minister Obadiah Moyo as the guest of honour at the event.
Residents in the ward spoke glowingly of Ruth Makandiwa and their Member of Parliament Goodrich Chimbaira.
Solomon Savanhu, a resident in the ward in a sideline interview recounted miserable situations encountered due to erratic water supplies from the local authority. “People have to wake upto 2300 hours when tap water will be available and sometimes the ward goes for 2-3 weeks without tap water”, he said.
In the handover speech on behalf of UFIC leader Prophet Emmanuel Makawandiwa, Prophet Prime Kufakunesu emulated the work being done by Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa in helping the needy.”This isn’t the first time and will not be the last time Prophetess will give to Chitungwiza”, he said.
The Chitungwiza Mayor Lovermore Maiko and MP Chimbaira were left gratified by the noble deed done by AFC in donating the boreholes.
” I had so many futile meetings with various stakeholders to mitigate water crisis in Unit J ward and the one with Prophet Makandiwa was fruitful as Prophet Makandiwa didn’t turn a deaf ear to our plight “, said Chimbaira. “Increase in the number of people living in the dormitory town without its own water plants and the drought in the past 2 years is execerbating the water crisis in Chitungwiza “, said Maiko.
In his acceptance speech, Health minister Obadiah Moyo emulated the tireless efforts by Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa in helping the vulnerable people in Chitungwiza.
“We as Government are happy by this kind gesture from AFC, and we continue urge people to abide by the ruled and regulations of lockdown to combat the spread of the global coronavirus “, said Moyo.
Water is life and the donation left residents in a jovial mood with the elderly shedding tears of joy during the jubilations at the handover ceremony.
The boreholes were named Life Well borehole 1 and 2 with the first officially opened being Life Well 1.
