
Mashanshan FC appears poised to clinch the Captain Francis Boozers’ League as they vow not to lose a match in the second half of the season.
Mashanshan FC has gained 9 points from the last 3 matches they played since the start of the second half of the season.
They beat Sharks FC 3-2, Columbia FC 2-1, and last week they outclassed Glen-Norah FC 4-2.
Despite log leaders Towerlight FC, the Highfield outfit having a 14 points cushion against 4th placed Mashanshan, the latter are aiming to win the league title.
SportWay caught up with Mashanshan treasurer Raymond “Rasta” Koshita at the match against Glen-Norah FC and said his team was garnering for maximum points in their remaining games to win the league.
“In the first half of the season, we were complacent but now we want all our remaining games to lift the title”, he said.
Mashanshan, the Glen-Norah based side is bolstered by seasoned players in the likes of Bernard “Akinde” who plied at the now defunct Mwana Africa in the PSL, Ephraim “Gava”Nekati the young brother to the late Caps United defender Tobias Sibanda ,Tatenda “Major” Mutudza former Grain Tigers player and Justin “Jah” Bingadadi who turned up for the now defunct Black Aces in the PSL and is also on the technical bench of Mashanshan.
