Herentals u20 edge Harare City Cubs

On a chilly and windy weather day Herantals u20 dismissed Harare City Cubs 1-0 in an evenly matched game at Morris Depot, Friday.

Herentals missed an early opener in the first five minutes .Harare City Cubs could have punished the complacency of the visitor’s strikers in the early minutes as they had well knitted passes to outtwit the hosts.

Few minutes before the breather , Herantals piled pressure in the eighteen area resulting in a penalty.Well taken penalty by Rinos Majarira gave Herentals the lead.

The matched ended 1-0 in favour of Herantals.The referee was not lenient as he booked many players with yellow cards and Herantals played one man short in the 2nd half after a red card.

Herentals coach, Paul Benza was impressed by the performance of his troops as he acknowlegded that Harare City Cubs are a good side.

“I am happy that we collected 3 points at home from a good side”,he said.

Herentals are now on the 3rd position above Harare City Cubs behind Cranborne Bullets on the pole position and Black Mambas second in the Northern Region Division One League.

“Our top priority is to finish in the top four. Last year we finished 6th and this year we need an improvement”, said Benza.
