Minister of Sport Kirtsy Coventry warned that Cosafa has no right to fine Zifa for backing down from hosting the 2019 Cosafa Cup.

She took to twitter earlier this month resoundingly stating that no charges can be brought against Zifa by Cosafa for reconsidering hosting the Cosafa Cup.
“1. No guarantees were ever signed for 2019 or 2020.

The Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) is being on the list for disciplinary measures by Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (Cosafa) for withdrawing their offer to host the tournament.
