
Zimbabwean jockey Brendon McNaughton had a scintillating finish at the 2019 Castle Tankard as the South African horse he saddled Peggson crossed the finish line first at Borrowdale race course Saturday.

The Grade One horse racing event lived to billing where other 6 horse races were held. The $100 000 RTGS event which was the main event had one Zimbabwean horse Solinski saddled by Nathan Klink.
Bridget Stidolph, the Zimbabwean trainer had a great day as two horses from her stable Peggson and Leven Point came first and second respectively.
Fareeq from the Penny Fisher stable came third followed by Arte of the Kirk Swanson stable. Last year’s winner Roman Discent of Bridget Stidolph stable did not finish in the top four and also the much favored Amsterdam of Kirk Swanson stable had a disappointing result as it was not in the top four to pocket the prize money.
Bridget Stidolph had seven horses, Penny Fisher had four horses whilst Kirk Swanson had 5 horses in the main event.
