The main bout of the event GBU/ UBC Inter- continental unification title will be pitting Charles Manyuchi against Argentinian Pablo Ezekiel Acosta in a winner take all.
Manyuchi had a series of defeats in his last matches and when word went by about the #Restoration Fight many misconstrued the theme. They gossiped that Manyuchi was fighting his last match. For many lay people in Zimbabwe , boxing is not regarded as livelihood hence the views that Manyuchi was restoring to normal life by quitting boxing.
The sentiments were squashed by ZNBC Chairman Richard Hondo at the launch of the event.”It take material sponsorship like this one from Delight Credit for boxing to survive and for business to flourish they need law and order. As a boxing board, we are taking crime from the street and channeling it into a career.”, he said.
Like Tiger Woods who has set tongues wagging worldwide because of his magnificent come back in golf, Manyuchi is anticipating a superb come back as when he knocked out Jose Agustin Julio Feria in just 162 seconds at HICC in 2016.
Delight Africa Group CEO Mr Kevin Musekiwa was in a jovial mood during the sponsorship unveiling ceremony.” I am delighted to be part of this event as a brand or an individual.I am humbled by Manyuchi who rose from nothing to rise into stardom. It is like my story when I fought competition to be with a company surviving”, he said.
“His theme #Restoration is to himself but I think #Restoration is ton everyone who want to take a new leaf on the ups and downs”, he added.Delight Credit is an entity in Delight Africa Group.
