
The 40th season of the top tier season football in Zimbabwe roars into life on 30 March and has been met with mixed reactions over late starting compared to last year.
Lat year the 2018 PSL season was initially scheduled to begin 10 March but was postponed to 17 March 2018.Kudzai Bare, the league spokesperson rubbished comments about the late start as unfounded and lacked research.
“The PSL in some past editions have been starting on the 1st of April “, she said.In 2016 and 2017 editions the PSL started on the 1st of April whilst in 2015 and 2013 the season kicked off 21 March and 28 March respectively.
The race for the top flight title brings joy to many Zimbabweans as it is the most followed sport in the country.
