2019/20 PSL season a resounding success

The shifting of the Castle Premier Soccer Leagues season from starting in March to August next year had been met by mixed reactions but the lump sum budget allocated to the Ministry of Sports , Arts and Recreation by Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube  leaves light at the end of the tunnel.

The stadiums in Zimbabwe have poor drainage systems  thus resulting in water logging during the rainy season. It is imperative  for the Ministry of Sports under former Olympic swimmer and record holder Kirsty Coventry to facilitate the refurbishment of stadiums.

The move to have similar soccer league season with other countries strengthens the national team  as local players  will also be available for the international friendly games without hassles with local coaches.

Castle Premier Soccer League adminstration has been reiterating their vision to have ther league standards be competing with those of the overseas leagues like EPL,Laliga and Bundesliga.

Many soccer fans are still sceptic if our PSL can have matches during the rain season or the season will take a break.

However there is a sign of gleam hope as the allocated budget has be used to already proposed projects according to the government.
