They have won in some of their games with a difference of more than 100 points in a game.
However the team’s captain, Juliet Misihairambwi- Mtambalika defended the team’s performance in an exclusive interview on Saturday at Dzivarasekwa Basketball Courts.
The former JBC point guard , a veteran in the sport said there was no need to be merciful as the sport was concerned as they were also preparing for the FIBA African Women’s Champions 2019.”At one time, I was in Angola watching the regional tournament .The way the ladies played like men brought me the idea that we must be serious even in our league games to match our opponents in the regional tournament if an opportunity materialize”, she said.
Meanwhile, City Hornets men edged DZ Raiders 76-71 at Dzivarasekwa to lead the pack in HBA league.
