It was for the first time Churchill to play against St George’s College at the Rugby Fest whilst Prince Edward and Allan Wilson were reviving their rivary after about  a decade of  them  not playing against each other.

St George’s were the first  to put a try on a corner fly  when they made an immaculate overplay.St George’s players whether white or black looked poised to answer the question “Who is the next Beast?Bulldogs made a try in the first half after a lot of struggle as their forwards did not manage to grip the ball when going for the try line.Small showers of rain before ,had made the ground a bit wet and the ball was smooth to the players.

At half time , the Dragons were winning 10-5.At the start of the 2nd half the Dragons forwards  came guns blazing but the Bulldogs back line contained them for a time. However the former was too hot in such a way that they broke through for a try.

As the game became intense, a melee occurred during play and two Bulldogs  were given a red card and a yellow card. Many Bull dogs players got injured as they tried to make a comeback which was to no avail. The last try for Dragons came when Bulldogs were dispossessed attacking near the 22m line  and a Dragon made a solo run to make a try.

Adrian Zivanai and Takunda Mkaratigwa gave the Bulldogs a torrid time and can  not be augmented to  fit as the next beast .

Mkaratigwa said he is aiming to play professional rugby in future.”I endeavor to play in Australia after school”.

Dub Trevella the Dragon coach was left an elated man.”I was good victory as we won against a good side”, he said. Asked about Saturday’s game between Kyle he refused to comment saying he cannot put the cart before the horses.”I have to make a plan with the boys first as Kyle is a good side.
