History is not a living tissue in the Super Chibuku Cup tournament because since its comeback in 2014, the Cup has never been defended and this year 2015 champions Harare City are favourites to clinch the silverware.
The quarter finals draw on Tuesday saw Harare City pitting Bulawayo City whilst How Mine will play against Shabanie or Caps United. How Mine’s opponents will be known after PSL ‘s Adjudication on Wednesday this week. Venues are yet to be announced but the matches will be played over the weekend.
Shabanie and Caps United’s semi- final match was abandoned after Caps United fans were irked by the assistant referee’s decision to flag a Caps United player off side thereby allowing the referee to disallow a goal by Caps United.
The winners of the Chibuku Super Cup will play against the Castle Premiership winners in a Castle Challenge Cup over the weekend.
