
Morocco has been given the green light to host the 5th Edition of the biennial Total Africa Cup of Nations Championship.
“The Emergency Committee of Confederation of Africa Football, chaired by Ahmed, met on 14 October 2017 in Lagos, Nigeria, and unanimously made a decision t grant the organisation of the 5th Edition of the Total Afrin Nations Championship to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation”, CAF said in a statement in their official website on Sunday.
AFCON 2015 was initially scheduled to be hosted by Morocco who later demanded postponement of the event because of the Ebola Virus epidemic in the West Africa
The cities of Casablanca, Agadir, Marakea and Tangier have bee selected to host the tournament which will run from 12th January to 4th February 2019.
