
Day 3 of the 2017 Dairibord schools rugby festival was lively as St George’s College 2nd hammered Eaglesvale 2nd 59- 05.
Eaglesvale managed a consolation try as they found themselves being a punching bag at the hands of merciless St George’s.Eaglesvale had a senior team of young boys juxtaposed to the mature St George’s boys.
St George’s coach Douglas Trivella said it was hard preparations they did before the festival that is producing favourable results.”We went to South Africa, Krugersdorp for about a week over the easter.We have been training hard for the festival as we are also preparing ourselves for the school league games”, he said.
Eaglesvale coach Arthur Musikavanhu was not disappointed by the defeat.”We are building a team with young boys for future use.The scoreline didn’t reflect much as we are still gaining experience and exposure”, said the coach.

Meanwhile Dairibord schools rugby is extending its target audience as many media house are joining in covering the event.Apart from the All Schools Media Solutions which streamline live the games every year, a new kid on the block has joined.Uhuru Tv started to streamline live this year and are there to stay.
“we choose to streamline live the festival because it’s the biggest festival in the world”, said a staffer at the online tv .Uhurutv has average viewers of about 1k to 5k which makes the festival have many audiences this year.” Our audiences are reacting well and as long as we are invited we will keep to streamline the festival.Uhurutv is leveraging local content, sports included to compete against DStv and Netflix”, added the staffer.
