
Caps United ‘s scintillating performance against a football powerhouse TP Mazembe has put Glen- Norah high density on the spotlight as Abbas Amidu scored in an one all stalemate.

Abbas Amidu of Caps United, his young brother Brett Amidu together with FC Platinum stalwart defender Ian Nekati hail from the same community.Glen-Norah has always been producing a galaxy of football stars since time immemorial.
Sons of former PSL players who have made it in Glen -Norah include Justin Bingadadi and Mike Bingadadi who plied for the now defunct Black Aces and their father was the late Daniel Bingadadi who played for Dynamos FC.In their generation, other gifted players were Tinashe Nengomasha and Rodwell Makawa who turned up for Caps United.
The mention of Abbas Amidu’s goal has brought back memeories of Glen -Norah ‘s supremacy in the football circles.With 3 players in PSL who are sons of the former players, hope in the community which has pasion for football is tangible.Abbas and Brett Amidu are sons to former palyer Hussein Amidu whilst Ian Nekati is the son to the late Tobias Sibanda who during his hey days played for Caps United.
Many players who grew up in Glen -Norah turned up for Dynamos, Black Aces and Caps United.Many favoured Caps United because of its convinince as it had a staff bus to carry players to training.Also the pharmaceutical company Caps Holdings had many of its workers resing in Glen- Norah thus having a huge fan base.
Abbas Amidu has portrayed that the community still got the talent as far as football is concerned.History is living tissue in football in Glen-Norah as it has stood the taste of time.
