Marlborough optimistic at NASH U20 finals

Marlborough who beat Prince Edward 1-0 to progress in the NASH U20 national final said they are well prepared to clinch the trophy in Glendale, Mazowe  on Saturday.

“We are preparing well and our boys are in camp as from Tuesday with our head coach Owen Mutukwa”, said an insider in the coaching staff. Marlborough High School popularly known as the Zebras are aiming for the 1st position which was taken by Gumbonzvanda High School last year.

“We are looking forward to players like Leeroy Mavhunga, Foster Dembere and Farai Chinyamuchiku to carry the day for the team”, emphasized the insider. He complemented the tournament in developing grassroots soccer as big clubs’ representatives like Dynamos and Caps graced the tournament scouting players.”Dexter Mawere now playing at Harare City was scouted in the finals played at Chemhanza High School “, revealed the insider.
