Online is essential for sports organisations

The FC Platinum and Mutare City FC mayhem shows the need for sports organisations to take online seriously and not post irrelevant information.

The money bags are accusing Mutare City FC of using an ineligible player Kudakwashe Gurure in their stalemate at Mandava Stadium last Saturday, whilst Mutare City FC is blaming PSL for disseminating wrong information through their facebook page.

Facebook pages for organisations whether in sport or any corporate should be managed by online writers who have the capabilities to disseminate the news of their organisations to the target audiences. Facebook pages are usually composed of rich media of an organisation, so administrators should not think its something not seriously.

Evidently a facebook page by Premier Soccer League posts about player suspensions for match day 19 omitting Kudakwashe Gurure of Mutare City FC.

Ironically online has became the in- thing that guys at PSL should have known that their facebook page was a mouth piece for their organisation. Organisations should also state that theirs is the official as to distance themselves from non traditional journalists who just post news in which they are not part of. There are many PSL facebook pages and guys at East lea should state which one is theirs.

Online should be taken seriously by administrators so that other stakeholders have easy access to the news. Whilst FC Platinum feels cheated, one could have other thought that the match was programmed in favour of FC Platinum. Maybe it is Mutare City FC who is to be cheated as someone gave them false information knowing even if they win, they will be penalized.

PSL should do their business diligently not in favour of one team as the case looks like.Overally in this modern age of digitalization, organisations should be recruiting or giving their staff in- house training on digitalization as to avoid inconveniences.
