Minister of Sport and Recreation applauded everyone taking part in the sports fraternity for the recent achievements in sport including the Mighty Warriors’ feat of qualifying for the Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympic games 2016 in August and Cameroon Women Africa Cup of Nations 2016 in November(Afcon).

In an interview on the sidelines of the Mighty Warriors Dinner recently with SportWay in the Capital , the minister commended all stakeholders in the sports for doing a sterling job .The honourable minister was asked if he was the man behind all the achievements as his tenure in sport has brought positive results.
“I am not the only one to be accredited for the achievements in sport but everyone is commended for the good results. Every one is working hard and we hope to continue on this high note”, said the Honourable Minister.,Minister Makhosini Hlongwane has been receiving accolades as the Minister of Sport who has surpassed earlier Ministers of Sport by attending mostly all sporting functions and activities.
The Minister took over from former Minister of Sports Arts and Culture who was jeopardise by the Zifa president chaos which he could not manage to quell.In his term in office, Hlongwane met challenges of the Swaziland match fixing scandal and Wicknell Chivayo and The Sunday Mail outburst.
During the Mighty Warriors dinner, Minister Hlongwane praised the girl child as they has outwitted their male counterparts in winning on the international arena.”the two main records by the Mighty Warriors in just 6 months is a resilience that can be compared to none.
Mighty Warriors team captain Felistas Muzongoti, who plays a mid- fielder role said they have to thank God for their achievements.Zifa president, Dr Phillip Chiyangwa said the Mighty Warriors will be given 30 stands of which 10 will be given to the technical team.
