Harare City thrash Mutare City

Jerry Chipangura’s   brace powered  Harare City FC  to massacre  visitors 4-1 in an entertaining Castle Premiership League match played Friday afternoon at Rufaro Stadium in Harare.

The chilly weather did not deter the hosts from providing a scintillating performance.Farai Madhananga broke the goal deadlock in the 28th minutes with a beautiful header of a well taken free kick from the left by Ralph Manuvire.The Kenny “Bokonde” coached side conceded another goal after 5 minutes as Ralph Manuvire sliced the ball home to make it 2-0 for the hosts.

Mutare City goal keeper Phillip Nhete made a brilliant save in the 44th minute when he denied a   goal by Willard Manondo. The game went into the breather with Harare City leading 2-0.

Harare City FC scored their third goal 10 minutes in the second half through substitute young Jerry Chipangura who came in for Murimba. Mutare City scored a consolation goal through a 30 metre drive after Harare City defenders where caught unaware as James Jam had been fouled.

Jerry Chipangura scored the brace in the 83th  minute to seal the 34-1 win against Mutare City FC.

Harare City striker Ronald Chitiyo pulled out of the match after complaining just before the match prompting Coach Taurai Mangwiro to play Willard Manondo. Benson Maglasi, originally out of the squad to face Mutare City joined the bench.
