Costa rallies Warriors

COSTA-NHAMOINESU-1

Zimbabwe international defender Costa Nhamoinesu has rallied the Warriors ahead of the upcoming back to back group L matches Orange Africa Cup of Nations qualifier matches against Sihlangu of Swaziland during the Easter Holiday.

He has praised the quality in the camp.

“The squad we have at our disposal is strong and confident, we will be working for a good result in Swaziland,” said Nhamoinesu.

Costa hailed the spirit of the Warriors in the camp ahead of their fixture against Swaziland on Friday.

“The spirit is always high, when you are chosen to represent your nation, despite playing in different leagues and different groups. When we come back home we are one team and we work as a unit, most importantly we speak the same language,” added Nhamoinesu.

Costa Nhamoinesu who is enjoying a memorable season with his club Sparta Prague both in the Czech league and Europa league has urged his teammates to replicate their club forms when they represent the nation on Friday.

“We would like the players to replicate their club form, through hard work it is not hard to replicate it, and this could work to our advantage if we do it well on Friday,” articulated Nhamoinesu.

He warned team mates against complacency as victory is important in any match in national colours.

“Victory is always important no matter which opposition or day you face a team, the important thing is to work for a victory,” concluded Nhamoinesu.

The Warriors left the country earlier today (Thursday) for their match against Swaziland scheduled for Good Friday at Somhlolo in Swaziland.

The squad was trimmed to the final 18 and the players left behind are Hardlife Zvirekwi, Tafadzwa Kutinyu, Marshall Mudewe, Bernard Donovan, Ronald Chitiyo, and Lawrence Mhlanga.
