Zimbabwe 180 for 4(Masakadza 93, Waller 36) beat Bangladesh 162 (Mahmudullah 54, Madziva 4-34, Chisoro 3- 17) by 18 runs.

Chevrons made a stunning turnaround to level the series 2-2.Zimbabwe won the last match. Hamilton Masakadza’s innings led the Chevrons to an impressive performance.

Chasing 180, Bangladesh were always behind the 8- ball after the loss of early wickets. Mahmudullah fought back admirably and kept the hosts in the contest but it was a task as Zimbabwe defended the target comfortably.

Tendai Chisoro‘s three wicket haul applied the brakes on Bangladesh’s chase of 180 as visitors leveled the series 2-2 with 18 run win in Khulna.

Tendai Chisoro bowled out Mahmudullah who had given other bowlers Sikandar Razza and Graeme Cremer a torrid time.  Luke Jongwe also managed to bowl out Mashrate Mortaza and Bangladesh was left without enough to win the game from there. Neville Madziva finally bowled out Abu Hider and the visitors won the game.

Hamilton Masakadza was voted man of the match and man of the series. In a post match interview Masakadza said, “I thought we could have scored a bit more at the end. Good knock for the team. Bangladesh fought really hard but the bowlers fought very well”.

Chevrons captain Elton Chigumbura was left an elated person. “Its good to come here after 2- 0.Guys showed some character. Hopefully they can carry that onto the next series. Always good to see the top orders take the responsibilities. These are good signs, especially last two games. The batsmen are understanding their roles. Good signs from our bowling as well”, he said.
